New closeboard fence installation with concrete posts and gravel boards

New fencing, installed the right way

A fence usually fails at the posts long before the boards give up. That is why every installation we carry out in Yateley starts with accurate setting out and posts dug to a depth that suits the height of the fence and the ground they are going into.

Once the posts are in, boards or panels are lined up properly, gravel boards are fitted where they help, and any gates are hung square so they still close cleanly next winter. The result is a fence that looks straight from the house and copes with the weather.

Fence replacement for tired boundaries

Many Yateley gardens still have the original fencing put up when the house was built, and much of it is now leaning or rotten at the base. Fence replacement means taking the old run out completely, clearing the line and starting again with new posts, so you get a boundary with years of life in it rather than one patched panel at a time.

If only part of the fence has gone, a targeted repair may be the better option. Our fence repairs page explains how we decide.

Fencing types we install

We install feather edge closeboard fencing, lap and tongue and groove panels, trellis-topped fencing, picket fencing, post and rail, stock and deer fencing, security fencing and matching timber gates.

If you are unsure what suits your garden, we will talk through privacy, how exposed the boundary is, budget and how much upkeep you are happy with before you decide.

What your quote covers

Every installation quote follows a free site visit, so it reflects your actual fence line rather than a rough figure over the phone. It sets out materials, labour, removal and disposal of the old fence, and any extras such as concrete posts or gravel boards.

There are no surprise costs partway through. The price we agree is the price you pay.

Most garden fence installations are finished in one to three days. The length of the run, access down the side of the house, ground conditions, the weather and whether an old fence needs removing all affect the timescale, and we give you an estimate before work starts.
